What was your path to becoming a mental health provider?

My journey to becoming a therapist has been driven by a lifelong passion for helping others and a deep sense of empathy. I started my career working at a Community Mental Health Center, where we provided Wraparound services to children in the foster care system. This role gave me profound insights into the complexities of trauma and solidified my dedication to supporting vulnerable populations. Private practice has become the core of my career. Witnessing client’s growth and progress brings me profound joy. My varied experiences have shaped my approach to therapy, enabling me to offer compassionate, client-centered care that fosters healing and personal growth.

What should someone know about working with you?

Working with me means embarking on a journey of self-discovery with a therapist who is invested in your growth. My intake process is designed to meet you where you are. It starts with understanding your unique experiences, goals, and challenges. Progress is defined by your growth and self-awareness, which might include gaining insight into long-held beliefs or overcoming internal barriers. I value working with clients who are open to exploring their inner selves. My role is to support and encourage you as you navigate your journey. You are the expert on your own life; I am here to accompany you, offering guidance and encouragement along the way.

How do you continue learning and building new skills?

I have found EMDR to be the most influential modality and set of tools in my practice. I also really appreciate the language and tools of IFS. Although, I am not fully trained in IFS, I have taken some trainings on how to use IFS interventions and strategies and integrate them into my practice. I hope to be fully IFS Level 1 trained in the future.
